Your Role at Everything Safety
As a Service Technician, you play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and compliance of essential safety equipment for our customers. Your expertise in monitor servicing, fire extinguisher maintenance, and fit testing helps protect workers across North Dakota and Montana. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to safety ensure that our customers have properly maintained equipment that meets industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor Service & Repairs
· Inspect, service, and calibrate gas monitors to ensure proper functionality.
· Diagnose and repair faulty monitors, replacing parts as needed.
· Maintain accurate records of monitor servicing and provide customers with reports.
· Stay updated on the latest calibration and repair techniques for various gas detection devices.
Fire Extinguisher Maintenance
· Inspect, test, and service fire extinguishers according to NFPA and OSHA regulations.
· Perform recharges, hydrostatic testing, and routine maintenance on extinguishers.
· Ensure proper tagging and documentation of all serviced extinguishers.
· Educate customers on proper fire extinguisher use and maintenance.
Fit Testing & Safety Compliance
· Conduct respirator fit testing to ensure proper seal and compliance with OSHA regulations.
· Educate customers on proper respirator use and maintenance.
· Maintain records of fit test results and provide necessary documentation to customers.
· Assist with selecting appropriate PPE based on customer needs.
Additional Responsibilities
· Maintain an organized and well-stocked service area.
· Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients about their equipment.
· Assist with inventory management for service-related parts and supplies.
· Stay current on industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices.
· Process transactions, returns, and exchanges while maintaining accuracy in the POS system.
Expectations & Skills
· Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills.
· Knowledge of gas monitors, fire extinguisher maintenance, and fit testing procedures.
· Ability to follow safety guidelines and regulatory requirements.
· Excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
· Strong communication and customer service abilities.
· Ability to lift and move heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs.).
· Willingness to learn and adapt to new safety technologies and procedures.
